SKIATHOS ISLAND – KOUKOUNARIES BEACH

We all know the beautiful cosmopolitan island of Sporades and Skiathos and now with our boat we give you the opportunity to experience a private excursion around Skiathos.
The name of Skiathos comes from the words “Shadow” and “Athos” because it is said that on a clear day you can to distinguish Mount Athos faintly visible in its depth horizon.
Departure can be made from the port where it is near the hotel of your stay. This particular excursion gives you the opportunity to enjoy the town of Skiathos in combination with the famous beach in Koukounaries.
We start our tour of Artemision Strait there which took place the famous naval battle of Artemisius between Greeks and Persians in 480 BC when at the same time, Leonidas was fighting his own battle at Thermopylae. After our beautiful tour we arrive at the beach in Koukounaries and there is plenty of time for you to enjoy your swim with water sports or have fun at one of the beach bars.

We continue to the town of Skiathos and approach its port where we meet Bourtzi a pine-covered islet that houses the ruins of the Venetian fortress built in the 13th century. You can visit the island of Skiathos origin of the “saint” of Greek letters Alexandrou Papadiamantis and see or visit the house-museum of Papadiamantis.
After our walk in Skiathos we start to return to our destination enjoying another sunset.
